Mporium is a software platform designed to help businesses optimize their marketing budgets by responding to real-time trends on the Internet.
The platform enables companies to adjust their advertising strategies dynamically by identifying what’s trending online and activating targeted campaigns accordingly. The goal: to make marketing spend more effective by reacting instantly to relevant content.
Mporium needed to automate the execution of marketing campaigns across multiple digital channels — and do so in real time. The challenge was to detect internet trends and turn that data into immediate marketing action without manual intervention.
This required a highly efficient system capable of ingesting, analyzing, and responding to large volumes of data from various online sources—news feeds, social media, and other dynamic content streams.
DistCoTech implemented a real-time data processing system built around a high-throughput rules engine.
The system continuously scans incoming data—such as subtitles from live news feeds—for predefined conditions like specific keywords or phrases. When these conditions are met, the platform triggers associated marketing actions automatically, such as activating or adjusting digital ad campaigns.
The architecture was designed to handle large data volumes with low latency, ensuring that decisions and actions are taken as soon as trends emerge.
The core platform was integrated with the Google AdWords trading system, enabling seamless execution of paid search campaigns based on real-time triggers.
A robust backend architecture powered by Kafka, Couchbase, and Docker ensured scalability and reliability. The infrastructure was deployed using AWS ECS, with provisioning managed through CloudFormation and Troposphere for infrastructure as code.
The outcome was a highly responsive and fully automated system that allowed Mporium’s clients to capitalize on real-time internet trends and improve the efficiency of their marketing operations.
